I finally got the time to change the rear emblems over to the Black Pearl ones that I had bought a few weeks back.

WD-40 and fishing line was all that was needed to remove them, give them 5 mins to soak up the WD-40 and then just work the fishing line (or dental floss) behind the badges in a kind of sawing motion. Note* There are pins on the emblems so you obviously need to know where they are by refering to the new emblems.

Before starting ensure you do the following: The "Lexus"word emblem and the "L" emblem have pins and so it's easy to relocate the new emblems back in the correct place. However the "IS 250" emblem is all seperate numbers/letters with only the "S" and the "0" having pins. The way around this is to use masking tape directly below the whole emblem and mark on the tape where each number/letter sits. I also used masking tape at the sides of the first and last letter/number so ensure they were straight.

Once removed a quick rub with your thimb nail removes the remaining sticky foam and then a little Tar Remover takes off whats left. I then cleaned the areas with Meths to make sure it was clean of any grease etc.

Then it's just a case of taking your time and reapplying the nice new emblems, stand back and admire your work:thumbup1:

I've not added the carbon inserts to the "L" emblem yet as I have to the front grill.
