Project Milverton- First House
Project Milverton- First House
Ok ok you have won , ours wont be that bad
LOL Thats only the start of it Moley..........
All interior walls are coming out, timber floor is getting chucked out and the roof on the back of the house is coming off also................... what have i got myself in for! LOL
you better get a wood burning stove for the house and get some free heat
Hey jas glad you finally got the keys and progres is being made!! Lol, those pics with the ceilings out are now a distant memory on my project, I'm almost at the end of my project and will put up the pics soon, although I took quite a few pics at the beginning I slacked with taking them from about halfway through so keep taking and posting em mate!
Right, feel this sort of needs an update.
Been cracking on with this lots and work has been hectic, hence why i haven't been on here in a while.
So firstly this happened....................
It didn't fall down but we ripped it down, plan now is to rebuild the whole house, exterior walls and all. The bottom row of bricks literally crumble in your hands.
temp moved the door back to its correct position, obviously we will be redoing all of this.
then rebuilt the wall we knocked down..............
gas box and electric box will be moved to here...............
work started on the new roof.................
skip 14 filled...............
This is the back of the house, kitchen, dinning and lounge area, all open plan. We have fitted a new fibreglass flat roof and redone all the tiles and felt. Will have decking on the outside and we are fitting some huge bi-fold doors that will open up onto the garden. As you can see there is no need for a corner post as we have fitted some massive steels to take the roof load. Will transform the house when they get fitted, just about saved enough for them, just need to finish the brickwork and order them up
Then started the fascia boards around the roof..............
the legend that is my dad, hard at work
Then yesterday we dug out the old lead pipe and fitted the polypipe as they will be fitting water meters this week coming. Dont mind too much as it will work out cheaper for us anyway as we wont use much water.
We have ordered 2 of the 3 velux windows as well and they should be arriving on wednesday this week. They are HUGE 980 x 1340 mm and hopefully have them fitted next weekend if we can lift them into place......
oh, skip number 15 now filled and currently waiting on 16 to turn up this week lol
Jason
Awesome work mate! It'll all be worth it when you're done...
