I bought this headunit adaptor kit from ebay, so I could install my sony blu-tooth headunit only to find out that the lead supplied doesn't suit the colt.

Anoyingly the colt adaptor harness isn't that easy to find.

But I have found that the same one for a 96 onwards colt is the same as the more recent colt 02 onwards.

Now annoyingly I have to wait a few days until the adaptor harness comes through the post. :bored:

Yea Stav, I was well peeved when I got the factory head unit out and disconnected only to find I couldn't connect my new one. So I've had to put all the dash back.
Good news that I didn't have to enter any stupid code to get the old one working again (there may have been a lot of swearing if I had to go looking through all the documentation for it).

Sounds like you need a Sony to Stock adapter for it. You can always just rewire it directly, to save needing any connectors?

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Yea, I could have, but then I wouldn't be able to return the head unit back to stock easily if I needed to. I have managed to get one and it worked great (apart from losing the ability to change the display readout of fuel economy/distance from the pump/etc, it's just left on average mpg, which I never switch to the other readouts anyway) the only problem I encountered installing it was the new unit was a bit tight to fit, but after some minor trimming of the plastic surround (all hidden anyway) it fit like a glove. Job done and I now have blu-tooth connectivity! Big Grin
