Hey all, I've just taken my front brakes apart this morning to check the pads and give them a clean, this may sound really stupid so I apologise in advance but I don't appear to have any bottom slide pins? I've got one in the top but the bottom 14mm nut is just a small bolt holding the caliper in place?

Lol I guessed it was more likely me being stupid Ormi.
I've used a picture of a caliper on ebay as an example..

What I would normally do to access the pads is remove the 14mm bolt at the bottom of the caliper (marked as black arrow) then swing the middle of the caliper up and there is a slide pin the wriggles out at the top (red arrow) leaving the complete middle section free from the torque plate.

So it's occurred to me that I've never actually removed the bottom slide pins ever, no doubt they will be seized to buggery.

What's the correct way to access the bottom slide pin as it's never even become apparent to me one was even there.

If they give me grief I might just cheat and get some refurbed calipers. I've seen a deal on ebay for £333 for new calipers, pads and discs + cashback on old calipers but going forward it would be good idea for me to check both pins regularly.
