I went into the section to ask the same question about Merc Supercharger DIY option and found this thread...

So the next question is: Is anyone doing those cradles? As I'd be looking forward to buy one Smile

I think someone is looking into making a copy of the TTE cradle, not sure on the price though.

Just thought I would update this topic.

After nearly 12 months of driving around on the current setup, I've decided to change a few things

I fitted a set of 1JZ (green) injectors the other week.
Bought a piggyback ecu (MapECU2 - never heard of them before, but it was cheap on ebay so I thought id give it ago)
And finally found a 157mm pulley from a Mercedes Sprinter Van, which looks like it'll fit my setup with afew tweeks.

I still have a bypass valve from a Mini Cooper S that I keep wanting to try, but Ive not had the time yet.

I'll update again when I have everything fitted - I'm expecting to have afew problems getting it running right.

Before you spend any more money, you should make sure you can either buy or build yourself the cradle that holds the supercharger. Without that the supercharger is useless, nobody has drawings of it so it has to be made from scratch unfortunately.

like Sprinter said above, unless you can get a cradle, or are will to get one made, I wouldnt spend any more money.

Dont forget, I dont think the pulley from the SLK230 lines up with the supercharger when using the TTE cradle - I used the SLK230 Water Pump Pulley, and lined my charger up to made the cradle, But looking at some pictures, I think my charger sits a more towards the front of the car, than the TTE kit.
