reganlives Why they do advise it to be the last thing to do? Bit weird....

Stav's explanation makes sense to me! Clean them then use them right away, why is that so weird? That way you know they are good when you fit them, rather than have them knocking about your garage for months after cleaning.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

i think its because the injectors do use the fluid as a lubricant, cleaning them removes all the old fuel and grease etc.

so sitting them on a shelf could cause them to seize, whereas using them straight away gets the lubricant straight back into them.

Well I've been doing a little more work, most works been on a secret project but that's not being revealed for a while.

Engine bay is now sprayed and I've fitted everything back.
Just got to make the new brake lines up now.

Not a lot of room to fit everything and keep the bay clean so things are snug in areas!

Cam covers are now nicely painted, just need the wife with her steady hand to repaint the lettering

Including the oil cap with ojc font lettering
[Image: dudymeda.jpg]

I've also tidied up the boot and run the new feed line from front to back.

Don't the wiring on the inside, it looked like this mid job:

Engine is painted, and this is the main hold at the moment, getting the cash together for rod bearings and rings.
I keep spending my savings on the little bits like fuel fittings etc, amazing how much they cost when you add it all up

So I've fitted the head as a temporary stop gap so I can start tidying up the wiring loom some more

So that's my update for now, got so much non car stuff to pay for at the moment, but it WILL be ready for mod nats.
