No offence in what I say but really what does it matter who made them.

They were made for lexus as an upgrade you can buy them from lexus or second hand on places like Ebay.

I find the question irrelevant and just one that leads no where.

Again don't take this in the wromg way it just seems to me pointless

Lexuspat No offence in what I say but really what does it matter who made them.
It probably doesn't matter.
Lexuspat I find the question irrelevant and just one that leads no where.
All knowledge is useful to someone. I learnt long ago that very few questions are truly irrelevant, Sometimes when you get the answer you discover that the question didn't lead anywhere you needed to go, But without knowing the importance of an answer you shouldn't dismiss any question as irrelevant.

I didn't ask the question out of anything more than curiosity....... But say for instance that we discover that "brand X" made the wheels, and after their contract with Lexus stopped they continued to make them under their own brand with their name cast into the back of the spokes, Wouldn't it make sense that if someone had a mystery set of wheels kicking about in the back of their garage that said "Brand X" on the back of them they'd list them for sale under that name? Wouldn't that info be useful to someone who wants to fit "Aero pack wheels" but can't find or afford an original Lexus set? Being able to hunt Ebay for 114.3x5 "Brand X, watch-a-ma-call-it's" could widen someones search enough for them to get what they want...... Maybe after "Brand X" heard of several Lexus Aero's getting flat spots they decided that when they stopped being constrained by Lexus's price per unit contract they'd cast their own branded wheels out of a higher grade alloy?

This whole scenario's ridiculously unlikely, But without the answer, Who knows?

I often ask questions not because I NEED the answer. More often than not I'm just curious as to what the answer is. It's only after you know the answer that you can gauge if the question was worth asking.

Is the 'Made in England' bit actually cast into the wheel or is it just a sticker? Because it doesn't make sense for a Japanese company, building Japanese cars, in Japan to get the wheels built in England?

Especially as they are JWL approved, which is a Japanese alloy wheel certification of some sort?

But if it is cast in...ignore what I just said. lol

It's stickers on the outside of the wheel barrel (underneath the tires). They looked like they'd been there from new and all 4 wheels had one stuck to them.

As far as I know these wheels were only available in the UK, and were only fitted after cars arrived in the UK - in this case it does actually make sense if they were made in England Smile

Interesting question though, I'm also curious to know who made them now, as mentioned I think Borbet made the TTE ones but it's never been discussed who made the aero/styling kit alloys........

Good point actually, even the top spec Altezza's with the full TRD bodykits and dials etc. still only came with 5 spoke wheels.

And don't BBS make the ISF wheels or something? Or maybe it's the LFA, I can't remember.
