29-08-2020, 04:49 AM #11Bit of an update on this. I found a similar spring - slightly shorter, but more than suitable. However, it seems it doesn't to re-open the bypass quickly enough as still get a screaming noise at high rpm when releasing the throttle. I wondred if it was duie to slack in the cable, but its at the end point and can't be tightened any more. There is some play in the bypass itself - kind of vertical play. i wondered if it could be the butterfly valve inside the housing that may have come loose creating the screaming noise? any thoughts?
