So now onto fitting
Car jacked up

Cat - centre section ready to be undone thanks to Kwick Fit

All polished ready to go on

Old exhaust off

When I fitted the new one I went to helfrauds and got some loctite exhaust gasket squeegee tube thing worked great no mess squirted around the seals and bolted it back together

Now on the car awaiting alignment

It’s on the car I know it’s not fully straight yet but I will worry about that next weekend, I believe its jut the brackets that need bending

Here is the finished article from last night
[Image: IMAG0034.jpg]

Now this next pic just imagine your driving down the road at night well dusk and you see this
Speeding up in your rear view mirror what would you think..................................................

OK so i was looking for some gauges and some one suggested the HKS Camp 2 now i thought about it long and hard, and weighed up the cost of the other brands like Defi etc
Although the Camp 2 came out more expensive on initial outlay the scope for additions is vast

so i placed the order with Mazda Rotary Parts In kent came highly recomended by a few Mazda mates
order was placed at 14.45 on the thusday evening
Order arrived at 8.20 on frioday morning now that is service i cant fault very helpfull and as it was a large order i paid no next day delivery costs very helpful and all parts came direct from HKS Definatly Brand new [Image: whistling.gif] if you know what im talking about

anyway onto fitting

As some of you know i have a double din DDX-6029 now this only has one AV input so i spen a little while making up a way to change from one input to 2 inputs which you will see at the end of the thread

Anyways here is the process

so here is the wiring going in

wiring through the bulk head

the harness that comes with it doesnt draw all its power from the OBDII like the Scangauge does you have to wire in an aditional ignition feed they do give you a fused wire for this ready for installation so that was easy enough

here is the I/F Unit and boost sensor installed

Here is the boost T-piece

OK so now on to the setting up the system

Here is it upon 1st power up

Now the strange thing is we have LEXUS cars but to make the HKS camp 2 work with the IS200 OBDII we have to tell the HKS that its a BMW1 sytem dont ask me why a guy from the MY.IS forum helped me out here

So once that was done we have this

Analogue Gauges

Digital Gauges

3 selection gauges for digital

Here is the finished article with alternating screens between front camera and HKS Camp2

1st mod was a new radio with a custom harness to existing wiring (the now standard bypass lead didnt exist in late 2006)

2nd Mod was a Kenwood IPOD adapter

4th Mod was LED footwell lights

5th Mod was Boot install MK1 (stupid design took 20min to get to spare wheel)

6th Mod boot install MK2 (much more user friendly but still not good enough)

Fantastic stuff mate, you've got some awesome gadgets on this car now!

Yep with the parking sensors, if you put them that low on the bumper they need to be angled upwards slightly. Otherwise they need to be around the middle of the bumper (sort of in line with the top of the license plate).

the venting system is a little box that opens the windows whilst the car is locked i had this on a remote but wasnt to reliable

so i did start research into having a thermostat ciruit with a timer so when it got to a certian temperature the windows would open for say 20min to allow it to cool down inside then close again

i did knock a circuit up nd tested on the bench but never got round to fitting it and now lost it lol
