Just updating - have had the car now for just over 4 months - not one problem and have put almost 8k on the clock. have refurbed the wheels as they were corroded to hell. Took an hour and a half per wheel but no difficulty and they look spot on now apart from the salt from the roads at the moment!!. I have installed a lifetime oiled K&N filter which took 5 mins/ changed oil and oil filter which took approx 1 hour which included an engine flush. Front brake pads and discs which took 1 hour total to do both sides. Car feels like new. It is booked into Lexus dealer in January for a cambelt and pulley change at a cost of £300 .. anyone know if is this an average price?. I may look at adding a slick50 type of additive to the oil as i believe from a friend that has an is300 that he has said it takes his fuel consumption down a bit.
Does anyone know if the UK is200 had a stainless steel exhaust fitted to them - i have heard some people say they had and some say they hadn't. Is there any way you can check to see if one is installed?.
