But if the Mondeo driver claims to get his car repaired then that's a claim against you, right? So regardless of whether the cost to repair your car is nil, the issue of repairing his still has to be covered, and as it's a claim against you you'll lose your NCB?

The worst bit is i start my new job on monday and will be commuting by train so wont be doing more than 1k miles a year at best yet the insurance is going to be mahoosive

Adding my mum knocks £600 off mine!
Or if I add my Mrs (who has a provisional license) it knocks off £300.
Dont know if I can legally add my mum as I don't live with her, but with all the troubles I had with my insurance co after my accident, it kinda makes me wanna say f*k it and do whatever I can (within reason) to keep it down.
