The old green sheets were retired because they don't need watermarked paper to prove originality anymore. Because all MOT results are archived and available online back to 2004 (I think, might be 2006) there's no point in having the expensive watermarked paper when you can just look on the internet and see straight away if an MOT sheet is a fake. Plus I think each unprinted watermarked set (green, yellow and red) was about £12 from VOSA! I bet no one's MOTs have come down by £12 with the new printouts though...
