You guys should keep a look out for epos (electronic point of sale) systems on eBay.

Thats where I got my car pc install from. It came with a 7" daylight readable touchscreen, a slimline passively cooled Intel Atom PC and it works straight off 12v.

All I needed to do then was buy a small Car-PC power supply so I could have it go on/off with ignition on a delay.

Total cost = £220

Question to Rabster...how did you find the Centrafuse sat nav software to use?

I've just ordered the BU-353 you mentioned to go with my setup Smile

Also, where's the best place to mount the receiver?

I had mine on the passenger side of the dash cable routed neatly out the way but when I resided it and moved the pc it ended up on the parcel shelf which seemed to be a better location

I used navmi on my old setup centrafuse nav on the current it works really well better than I expected actually

Yes i have the sat nav and so far it seems pretty good.
My receiver is in the front windscreen area as it ideally needs to have a clear signal to the sky
