Similar line of work to anees, I'm the managing director of my own small IT consultancy. So small in fact I'm the only employee.
My task for the past few years has been to write software that automatically tests Sky's customer relationship software, along with build a bunch of tools for the other test guys to use. I don't employ anyone directly but Sky recently increased my minion count to 4 from 1

Short Answer: All-Round IT Guy
Longer Answer: In the last 8 years, I've been a Cisco Engineer, a Data Forensics Engineer, a Systems Integration Engineer, a Support Contractor, the Technical director of my own IT firm, a Software Engineer, a Web Developer, a DBA and now I work Back Line Support (i.e. whatever no ****** else has a clue about, I get) for a cloud computing company based in California, I sit at home most of the day refreshing car forums to see what the latest posts are, and occasionally I fix some cloud related problems. I'm missing Software and Web Development though, so I'm getting more involved with one of the car clubs I'm in, to try and improve their forum/website/hosting and I'm considering a move internally at the company I work for, to their engineering department. Oh and I still build websites and web applications in my spare time too.
I work for a Science Centre and Planatarium in Winchester.
Im part of 3 people that work in the workshop making all the new exhibits and looking after the existing ones. Not a bad little job, get away with murder, they let me keep the buggy in the workshop and i get to use the workshop machinery for my own personal use. Hence why the outlaws get lots of shiney things made for them
