Cheers mate, the first guy I spoke a few weeks back said it could be done without dropping the legs out but if not and they have to come out to do it I may aswell do them myself, just need some clamps.

£80 is a good price if it takes a couple of hours but I was told it should only take an hour so was expecting more like £40, just had a quick look and reckon I could do it myself just need to get clamps from somewhere, either that or take the legs off myself and take them to the garage to swap the springs and then re-fit the legs myself.

Can't really spare £80 at the mo which is the main problem otherwise i'd just book it in, I have a couple of ideas for getting them fitted with as little hassle/cost as possible.

May be worth saving for it to be done at that price really as I paid £90 to have mine done which was cheap as I know the garage fairly well, least you know it's all done properly then rather than being unsure!?!

It's the clamps that are holding me back the rest is pretty straight forward, simply put: Undo the 3 bolts on the top of the strut, undo the bolt at the bottom, drop out, clamp the springs, slide off, clamp new springs and slide on replace strut, easy:tongue_smilie: I may have a way to get them fitted for nothing just need to speak to a couple of people 1st, otherwise i'll do them myself.

Don't forget to loosen the inner top nut too mate, as there a sod to get loose once off the car? unless you have a vice to hold them in? you'll need a good allen key to hold the inner and a ring spanner for the nut:thumbup1:

If you were closer mate, we could of done them this Sunday, as i have all the gear including the spring compressors :thumbup1:
