There is an Austrian guy who has a 165mm pulley for over a year with a Haltech ecu and a not such a good map and his engine works fine! It is also vey fast! I am going for this setup very soon. I will upgrade from the 150mm pulley to the 160mm, fit bigger injectors, fit the water/methanol injection kit and remap.

Thanks Dimis! I can't wait to get my 160mm pulley fitted now!

I was starting to worry I was going to blow up my car!

I've been speaking to this exact person! He said that I can run a 145mm pulley and 1ZZ injectors perfectly with no problems, but he said I should use a HKS FCD not a TTE Blackbox because he had 2 or 3 Blackboxes break! But I think Patrik's version is more reliable so I will stick with the Blackbox because of the much smoother fuelling it gives.

With a 165mm pulley he is making 0.8bar! :Shooting:

EDIT: What injectors are you using with your 150mm pulley at the moment Dimis?

From what I've read Dimis is using Denso: 23250-22030 injectors.

Here's some for $25 each:

Stix44 Also from my reading Gord ran a 160mm pulley with standard injectors with no map.

A lot of the info in that thread is guess work when it comes to boost levels and the safety of the engine. The euro guys laugh and our lack of concern for safety when it comes to upgrading the pulley. They said although you can fit a 145mm pulley like I plan to and it will run fine, even for that sort of increase they would advise bigger injectors or you risk running on the lean side higher up the RPMs, so I think you would definitely need them for a 160mm (bearing in mind a 165mm makes 0.8bar boost...) Either that or just stay well away from the upper RPM.

I never intended to just up the boost, I have my Greddy fitted and ready but Im having trouble getting the injectors I want and until I have them the boost will be staying where it is.

i agree, better to play it safe, sometimes im like pushing 0.5,and im just waiting for somethimg to go bang, although ive been running 138mm-140 with belt for nearly a yaer now and no probs.
you never really now what weakness the engine may have, fingears crossed im ok, but if i upgrade ill go for the injectors, but im sure the internals could handle 0.5 ok anyway,if you sevice it regular.
