OK, time to own up, changed both my belts on the car today but it looks like I must have moved the power steering pipe whilst doing it, the bottom pulley has nicked the PS pipe and just ****** all my fluid over the engine bay :Chair:

What I need to know is if it is possible to put a joint piece in or does the whole pipe have to be replaced?

Used cranes years ago and we used to stick a joint piece in and that was good enough, they had a lot more pressure in them than a car PS system.

Any help at all would be appreciated Smile

can you remove the pipe???
if so take the pipe to a hydraulic company and ask them to put a join in.

Wouldn't be an issue if I was back at home but it's a bit like the wild west in Oban, chances of getting anything done on a weekend are zero Sad

Just the rubber hose, tempted just to measure the interior of the pipe and go down to the ironmongers and get a joint piece and a couple of hose clamps LOL

do you know if its a Hi pressure pipe or low pressure Return to the reservoir, if its low then leakage is less of a problem,
you can get barbed hose couplers that resist being "blown apart"

http://www.made-in-china.com/showroom/zj...1056-.html

I know this website is in china, but was only using image for example
