Frustration with lack of power...
I'm starting to get a bit frustrated with the standard engine in my IS200 , and was wondering if there are any parts recommended for some extra horses.
I've seen a variety of exhausts and induction kits available, but not a lot else.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers!
Charlie
Forced induction. You don't get much from exhaust and filter, but it does sound better.
Short of super/turbocharging, nothing will make a massive difference in all honesty (sorry to sound defeatist).
A sporty exhaust will give the perception that you are going 'faster', but realistically will add probably 1-5bhp.
Induction kit will also make a nice sound and possibly net you a max of 10BHP providing you go for a well designed one with a good filter on it.
If I were you I'd spend money on the handling. Do suspension/roll bars etc. It wont make the car faster obviously, but it'll bring back the enjoyment factor of driving the car. Also I've noticed that the lower you put the car to the floor the faster you feel you are going :p

save up for a charger mate best thing for the is200 as a quick pick me up unless yo have between 4 and 6k for a decent turbo setup
average Supercharger cost is between 1500 and 2500
try findinf a 1g gte engine and do a swap, sorry to say mine is now sold but you can find them out there or a 2jz gte supra and go banana's for hp, or nos it up and then put a new engine in it
