Ours is still going strong too - don't have it anymore, gave it to a relative after buying a cordless one.

Dad bought it back in the 70s, can remember it still had the price sticker on it - was from Woolworths for £17.99

parthiban Slightly random but we used to have that exact drill you were using

LOL ive just looked and ive the same one as well but in cream.

broke it the other month polishing. its got no torque now, the motor spins the as soon as you put pressure on it the bit stops but the motor continues.

havent had chance to investigate it yet.

could be the elctronic clutch in the drill mate, as there is not eneough pressure to join the 2 plates together to spin the drill bt.

Haha, what are the chances?! Was that a really common drill or something?

Well I thought I'd just update you all on the alloy wheel refurb.

I ended up getting some of the paint that Gord recommended. I managed to get it from a local motor factors, the difference was it was branded as Carplan rather than Tetrosyl. The guy in the shop said that Carplan and Tetrosyl is the same company and the pictures and labeling on the can was exactly the same, apart from the name.

Anyway, I sprayed on a couple of coats of the silver and finally clear lacquer, with lots of rubbing down between coats of course Wink

and here's the final result........

Still looks a bit grey but I think thats just down to the lighting in my garage, looks better in daylight

Thanks Jay. Yeh I'm not sure of the exact details but there off of my daughter's Yaris T Sport. I keep looking on eBay but nothing seems to come up. There is one on there at the mo but the guy wants £35 + 15 postage for it and it needs reverb.

So Dave are you happy with the Brightness/Silver of the Finish?? Still looks like it is too grey.
Need to find a paint with a heavy metallic content so it reflects the light better.

Yeh, it is still a bit grey but I held it up against Sarah's other wheels tonight, while she was round here having dinner, and in the daylight it dosen't look too bad.

Jay. Yeh the wheels are 15" and 4 stud on 100 PCD. I don't know if these were fitted to any other models.
