Alloy Wheel Refurb
Alloy Wheel Refurb
Ours is still going strong too - don't have it anymore, gave it to a relative after buying a cordless one.
Dad bought it back in the 70s, can remember it still had the price sticker on it - was from Woolworths for £17.99
parthiban Slightly random but we used to have that exact drill you were using

could be the elctronic clutch in the drill mate, as there is not eneough pressure to join the 2 plates together to spin the drill bt.

Well I thought I'd just update you all on the alloy wheel refurb.
I ended up getting some of the paint that Gord recommended. I managed to get it from a local motor factors, the difference was it was branded as Carplan rather than Tetrosyl. The guy in the shop said that Carplan and Tetrosyl is the same company and the pictures and labeling on the can was exactly the same, apart from the name.
Anyway, I sprayed on a couple of coats of the silver and finally clear lacquer, with lots of rubbing down between coats of course
and here's the final result........
Still looks a bit grey but I think thats just down to the lighting in my garage, looks better in daylight
Dave
your after a 4th... they are toyota yaris org wheels right. i will have a look around work for you as we had a load of just to through out right now. they are 15" 4/100 right
So Dave are you happy with the Brightness/Silver of the Finish?? Still looks like it is too grey.
Need to find a paint with a heavy metallic content so it reflects the light better.
