Im seriously toying with this idea.........
Im seriously toying with this idea.........
When ive got my lexus fixed, i still plan to trade it in, but im thinking as my drive to work is only 17 miles, a petrol would be just as economical as my 2.2 diesel which hasnt warmed up by the time i get to work
following this theory i looked around, and came across.............
A subaru Impreza 2.0 R Sport
only noticeable differences between it and the STI are the bonnet scoop and alloys (and 100bhp less)
i thought...........hmm wonder what insurance on one of them is,........tapped it onto my aviva account Refund due of £10, monthly premiums £2 cheaper
I then thought, what if i declarred it modded EG: STI Alloys, STI Back Box, Lowering springs
Aviva calculates.........no change :Mobile:
Ive always wanted an impreza, this seems quite an easy way into the fraternity
A guy on youtube posted videos of his 0-60mph and took 5.8 seconds, the only mods he did were K&N typhoon induction kit, custom cams and a borla header (whatever the hell that is)
they are also alot cheaper than the astra's i was looking at,
my mind ponders
id be wary of them places when declaring mods, if ive ever got a quote from the high street insurers online, as soon as i say its been modified, it tells me to call up.....just saying to double check before you dive in head first
Carpediem a borla header (whatever the hell that is)

Depreciation will hurt your pocket more than the fuel saving. These cars drop Luke a stone unless they are wrx, sti etc.
^^ yeah something else to consider i guess,
am now actually considering jsut saving pennies like a looney and buying an STI outright and doing away with the finance, which means i can insure it and still be quids in,.......but time will tell,
really need to start thinking about a house deposit, and also working tirelessly on a job promotion which could be a gift from the gods lol
SSSSSSTOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPP EEEEEVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRYYYYYYYTTTTTTTTHHHHHHIONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG
Balls to it im saving for either an STI or most likely a WRX with prodrive pack
can be had for 4k-5k with decent miles and FSH from a garage with warranty
insurance will be a killer, but still better off than i am now with a finance package included
LET THE SAVING COMMENCE!!!
Good move saving up for it and not doing the finance thing.
