You will need a 10mm to remove the coil packs, and its the larger of the two tyes of spark plug socket, 16/17mm iirc

There's a walkthrough on changing the spark plugs on an IS200 at http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/sho...d.php?t=24

The first really cold weather of the year will often kill a battery that is starting to fail.

thanks guys. stevie i tried to remove the just the covers today to take it step by step. I had a problem removing the bolt for the airbox located at the top right. could not fit a spanner and the hex key was not great as couldnt turn it. any good tools you can recommend to get this bolt out?

Sounds like you need a basic socket set with an extension, e.g. like I'm using here (though that pic has a spark plug socket on the end) :

Out driving my car a short while ago, and I noticed that when it's idling the voltmeter dips noticeably when the heated rear screen is switched on. I think it might be time to invest in a new battery myself !

yeah i work 24 hour shifts so the last thing i want is after 9 hours at work finishing at 7am not being able to go home cuz the car wont start. i think i would :crying:
