Hmm seems an odd one! have you connected both plug on the back of the stereo? as one is for power etc one is for speakers.

Also is there a setting for "pre-amp" on/off? On my alpine one if your running everything through amps you can turn the normal speaker connections off. thats not happened has it?

Hi, the head unit is a pioneer deh-p7700mp, i have double checked the connections & there all good. the only thing im not sure about is the connections in the pioneer iso lead that connects to the iso end of the bypass cable & to the headunit itself as i previously had the pioneer in a vauxhall which needed the red & yellow wires swapping. i swapped them back red to red yellow to yellow to use in the lexus which works but no sound!
Ive briefly checked the settings on the pioneer H.U but still no sound!
Would it be a possibility that my Ebay bypass lead itself is dodgy?
Thanks for your help..

ive also tried an older kenwood that directly connects to the radio end of the bypass lead & that does the same thing, powers up but no sound, although i heard a "crackle" come from the rear speakers when i disconnect then re-connected whilst the ignition was on?
the bypass lead is pc2-105-4 & the car is a 51 plate 2001 is200 sport
thanks..

If both headunits are notgiving sound then surely that points to the amp bypass.
I'd start there.

Well so far i can only presume that the amp bypass lead i have is somehow the problem, i noticed there are some looped wires in the big white connector (amp side) of the bypass lead, does this sound right? Does anybody have a pic of their correct lead that i can cross referance with the one i have?
Cheers..
