House project
That is really nice
Just out of interest what's the prices of buying and running a house in Sweden???
prices depend on location. you can buy a house in the north for under 14,000 pounds

this one is 14,006 pounds
this one in stockholm cost 1.4m

i cant believe the prices of your houses and especially how nice they are.
14000 wouldn't even cover the deposit here lol
whats the running costs tho???
gas,electric taxes etc???
it all works out the same mate. but to live up there when there are 4 months of darkness..-...... and i mean darkness. sky goes grey for 2 hours a day then it's black like the night.... summer is sunshine 24 hours a day. go out at 11 at night and the sun is still up.... messing with your head.... i lived up there and after 2 yeaars i could not take another winter. meter apon meter of snow... -46 outside. 20 mile drive to the nearest shop .. 14000 is not the same as up there
I can imagine that's really disorientating.
I've heard a few ppl say that. But if you live there I thought you'd get use to it???
Still looks absolutely stunning there.
Never been myself but definately not going to rule it out
Would like to take the Nissan but she wouldn't last 5 mins in the snow lol
Sorry what did your last part mean??? '14000 is not the same as up there'
well the house might only cost 14,000 but living so far away from every thing means you need to travel longer distances for work and so forth. it's a bit like saying you got a house for that money but it's on a small island in the north sea and you only have to row the boat to shore once a month to buy the food... then it's just back to the house on a island and nothing elkse...... location is everything. the big thing up there is isolation and suicide in the winter months. most people who try to live up there dont last more than a few years and those who are born and bread up there find it hard to smile in the winter
ormi thats stunning!! if you dont mind me asking how much does a property like that go for?I paid £110 000 for this 70m² house with a 1600m² garden. You can find bigger houses for the same price around here but that would probably mean you'd have to spend quite a lot fixing it up.
Lexusboy Your home looks like its in lovely setting. Thanks mate. The fireplace came with the house. Our gas fireplaces are prettier but they are useless for heating anything up.
Is that one of your fireplaces or one that came with the house.
Your place will look like a picture post card even more when the snow comes..
jay_russell prices depend on location. you can buy a house in the north for under 14,000 poundsExacly, it depends a lot on location. Our house would be super cheap if it was located up north but since it's only 50 miles from Stockholm and less than 100 miles to a third of the Swedish population it was 1,2m kr.
