yea unplug the electrics and feed them carefully back through their door hole.

Which is a 2 min job.

remove the cover behind the door handle, unscrew that screw.
unscrew the screw in the door armrest,
gently ease the door panel off the door, there are plastic clips that are sometimes a pain to remove, but generally just pop off.

OOps IS200, however the Prius is exactly the same!!
The Prius has a handy plug in the door for the electrics (on the front doors), so the IS220 may have one also. I think Toyota and Lexus are predictable in the way their cars are bolted together.

If they are, the MR2 doors work by having the connector block inside the car. You unplug it from in the footwell and feed the whole lot (rubber shield, grommet, wiring plugs etc) out the hole in the side of the car, then it's 5 bolts to remove the door at the hinges. You do have to take the wing off to get the door off though, but certainly in the MR2 you don't need to remove the doorcard. As you say, Lexus/Toyota should be predictable in the way they put these things together - certainly my LS400 seems to follow the same wiring basics as the MR2.

Take your time getting the new door aligned properly - the bolts should be tapered so they should do most of the alignment for you but it will take a while to get it spot on to get that smooth Lexus doorshut effect, rather than having to slam it.

Keep looking - I picked up a set of 2nd hand doors for my car for £30 once. If you do find that they are all expensive then get the cheapest one you can and get it sprayed!
