HI guys, i fitted about 9 months ago some DTRL to my car, and now the sun has started to turn them yellow!
Is there any way to de-yellow them?

Here's a pic of what iv got fitted.

[Image: Flexible-LED-Car-Decorative-Light-Strip-...062501.jpg]

I know their only cheap and iv ordered some more, but would like to know if there's a way to re-store them back to clear?

Cheers.

I have no idea what that is but if it's plastic and waterproof, the witches handbook says white vinegar usually cures all Smile It's the only useful tip in the entire book .. if whatever that is is waterproof Smile

In my experience, when clear rubber yellows its not on the surface (unless you smoke around your headlights a lot?). Its more likely the actual composition of the rubber. Cheap rubber yellows, the expensive stuff resists it a lot more.

My witch, sorry my wife, swears by vinegar. She keeps it diluted in a spray bottle and sprays everything that doesn't move and sometimes even things that do move

But Dave, is it any good as a detailing spray??
Ask the Mrs if you can borrow her spray to try it on her Yaris:biggrin:

I thought the same. I would suspect that the yellow is not on the surface, but right through the rubber. For the price of them, I would just bin them (or find another use for them) and replace with new.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:
