I only joined yesterday so if I make any mistakes please forgive me.
My new SC430 came with chrome wheels which are looking rather tatty as they are starting to peel. Can you advise me of the best wheel man to undertake the refurb. I live in Warrington, so Manchester or Liverpool would be great. I have just uploaded 3 pictures of the cat this morning (9/8/09)

Thanks for your assistance.

Kind Regards.

Mark.

I think it's very hard/impossible to actually re-chrome wheels. But you can get them refurbed and powdercoated with quite a bright finish, to try and look as shiny as possible.

I thought chroming was pretty hard, but then was watching an episode of wheeler dealers a few months ago where they were doing up an old car and they rechromed the bumpers and a few other trim pieces so it must be possible?

You can rechrome steel, but the problem is rechroming alloys, the chemical process is different and a lot harder/more expensive.

It will be very difficult to re chrome your wheels but as someone else said you might be able to get a shiny finish. You're in warrington (same as me:thumbup1Smile.Try giving Proclean a ring, they are in prescott so not too far away. apparently they aren't too bad with refurbs
