they all have push button start and proximity sensor entrance anyway so would cut back on alot fo the issues your having? and keep it pretty oem?

Lexus IS220d - Parrot Bluetooth kit, 1 idiot driver
could you not bypass the issue by getting an is220 security module or is it all inbuilt to the ecu?

How did the my.is guys get around the immobiliser or have they just put a key in the steering column like before?

Carpediem could you not bypass the issue by getting an is220 security module or is it all inbuilt to the ecu?

i have spent many months looking over this and there is no easy way to combine the system from a 200 to a 220.
plus the cost for the modules form a breakers outweighs the cost of doing the work for example
this system that is after market is universal so not limited to the one brand of car, i will be retrofitting to other makes also....
the push start works with any brand of car you just have to disable the factory immobiliser but if you add your own immobiliser to this system then you are laughing this can be done using relays and being well hidden in the car wiring loom to deter thief's or you can even buy a immobiliser harness to add in...
As for the proximity this works in conjunction with the push start or as a unit on its own, in my case it will be used to control the entrance to the car via an after market alarm for me this will be done using a relay and 2 diodes (full details will be posted upon completion...)
once installed there is no reason to think this unit isnt OEM as if installed correctly and not rushed it will be the dogs nutz

the genuine system is mega expensive and not easily linkable to older generation cars
The my.is guys have removed the steering column lock and then sacrificed a key removed the transponder and stuck to the transponder RX.
i should think they have installed a Immobiliser system not sure if the proximity comes with anything will have to check....

What does an immobiliser actually do? Surely the proximity sensor is itself an immobiliser as the engine won't start without the fob nearby?
