You'll never believe this.......
You'll never believe this.......
Seems such a coincidence that both bulbs failed at the same time and when they were turned off and car parked, what's the chances of that happening again.
So what lame excuse did they use?
As I dealer I would have given you that repair as a gesture, knowing full well that we had serviced/mot mins prior and I would have held some responsibility.
Dean thats evil.......
I like!!
personally, I don't trust main dealers FULL STOP !
My cousin works for a BMW main dealer and he himself says that 70% of the work he does is not required and just making up billing hours etc cared:
Sorry to hear you have got stung and it really does sound like you were "stung" too ad:
Thats a shocker, I work for jaguar and they would of sorted you out and you would not have paid a penny. Really bad for a dealer IMO. I would definitely take it further mate. The chance of two bulbs going at the same time is very rare.
When you send your letter Mark it copied to Watchdog and that new ripoff tv show and every car club you can find listed lol
Marsdendean when you took it in?

Phil01 So what lame excuse did they use? This was my argument, it just seemed a no brainer that if the car returned from the dealer with a fault, you'd fix it regardless of what was the cause.

Lexusboy When parts have been changed on your car you can asked for the damage / broken parts backI've got the bulbs and the ones they returned are blown - but obviously I have no idea whether these were the bulbs in the car.

But yeah to a certain extent I've been spoiled by how awesome Lexus Woodford are but a lot of main dealers (especially BMW it seems) are making stuff up to generate revenue.

purplewitch When you send your letter Mark it copied to Watchdog and that new ripoff tv show and every car club you can find listed lolThat's a good point, I can see the headline of £110 to change to bulbs being quite effective
Marsdendean Agree with purple. Find all the BMW forums etc and mark all there names as if your sending the letter on and to trading standards. Why not sign up to a mini club and warn them *?I'm already on the mini forums and will be posting up on there, good idea I'll find some BMW ones too as they are a BMW dealer at the end of the day and it's BMW running the show.

Bandit Just took this from Scothalls website?
Doesn't sound like they were open about the pricing or seeing if you agreed to the work being carried out?
:confused1:
