up in to the cupboard and either put a false bottom in the cuboard or in to the cupboard run the wire along the edge and hide with a very small facing??

False bottom is the way I would do it, very easy and neat, with easy access if need be.

Isn't he talking about the one in the far left though? As in the one just past the extractor? I thought that's what he meant by hiding the cable, there's no cupboard there due to the extractor so there's nowhere for the cable to go.

You're absolutely right Smile I need to make my way past the extractor without the cable showing.

Depending on the thickness of the wire, one option could be to carefully carve out the grout and run the cable through there and then re-grout over it - it's not an ideal situation but could work if the wire is thin enough.

I think the wires are too thick, unfortunately. Since they only transfer 12V I could however replace the cable with a smaller one but I'll look for other options first.
