2tongues Through the ceiling across and down again. Nothing like doing it the hard way!!
I could go through the ceiling to the attic but I'd have to dig through 50cm of isolation. I'll figure something out Smile

Last night we had a lot of snow. The winter was endning and the snow had been melting for a few weeks but it seems the spring is further away than I hoped.

Thanks mate Smile

I've now taken care of another important task. Sara wanted a lot of wardrobe space and now we've got 4 meters of it in our bedroom, with sliding glass doors. IKEA is our friend.

The ugly lamp in the ceiling will be replaced with a bunch of spot lights and we're going to add a few shelves and stuff.

This weekend we've had lovely weather

Gord Very nice mate, and to think Ikea is just up the road from me tooo

Better not show the wife your pic's or she will be dragging me along to Ikea
IKEA is a dangerous place. You go there looking for a loo brush and leave with a new kitchen :tongue_smilie:
Marsdendean Are those just sliding doors and you have added shelving behind it?? Can't wait till I get mine now !!!
This is what we bought: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S19885062 - Then we just added the rails and shelves and all that stuff.

There are several types of wood burning stoves and unfortunately I don't know what they are called in English but the type we’ve got is more or less sealed when the door is shut. It sucks air through a hidden tube from underneath the house and unless you open its door there is no dust coming out of it.

Many people usually use newspapers to fire up the wood, but if you burn a lot of paper you will end up with a large pile of dust inside your stove. The inside will also be covered in a layer of soot, including the glass. However, a very neat way of cleaning the inside is actually using intense heat. Burn birchwood (I hope it’s called that) and all the soot will disappear. If I remember it tonight I will take a few pictures and show you a more clean way to light it up and also the effect birchwood has on soot Smile

Thanks mate that would be very helpful . Just because we are thinking of getting rid of a coal fire in our maybe new house . Then getting one built into the wall so all you can see is the front glass. I'll post a link up later to what we are thinking of getting .
