if memory serves on the fcatory system

both tracks sit at GND and when power is applied one switches 2 12v whilst the other stays at GND

Alternating between LOck and unlock

the only possibly reason i can think is that the connections from the alarm are wrong

if you reconnect the factory system back up so effectivly you have replaced the track with a wire that comes out of the box, this should allow the factory door lock via remote to work again

if it does what you need to check is the relay on the aftermarket alarm module

ahh no wait i think i may have made a mistake i edited the post where i put the wire details in from my original plan and i think i could have got it wrong it looks like i have put the common on the wrong side of the wiring

The common on the relay needs to be the bit that goes to the door locks the normally closed goes to factory wiring the normally open goes to the new 12v feed

ok lets try it this way round

Green/Black to lower side of lock track (common)
white/black to upper side of lock track (normally closed
violet/black constand 12v (normally open)

Unlock side of track
blue/Black to lower side of unlock (common)
brown/black to uper side of unlock track (normally closed)
violet constand 12v (normally Open)

the idea will eventually be mate that you can ditch the OEM fob

YOu shouldn't be able to start the car if you unlock the doors with the OEM fob though as the viper has its own immobiliser....

i take it the second set of wiring details i put up were correct for wiring in the Central locking (in post #75)

with the windows have you purchased a unit to control them to make them role up or are you making your own relay system to do it ?

Indicators and horn can all be done in the steering cowl
i take it you are soldering all connections ?

Sounds good mate let us know what the module looks like and i can give some advice...

the other thing that may help other members is a walk through on fitting the alarm as you have crimped all the connections would be a great opportunity to take photos as you change them to solder and heatshrunk ones.

i can help you put the guide together if you want ?
