The Lupo survived the winter but it had a few problems coping with the cold. Now most of the snow has melted away and I just fitted the summer tires again.

She's very happy with it so far. Yesterday was actually the first time we got a chance to drive it on dry roads with summer tires and finally the really stiff suspension makes sense

Marsdendean do you ever take a rubbish pic!!!

What problems did you have with it over the winter if you dont mind me asking?
I do mate, but I usually upload those that are less rubbish :tongue_smilie:

I mentioned it in another thread. Here's the post:

P.Lindblom I'm so tired of this cold weather. Yesterday I was going to drive the Lupo home from the garage. After about 200 meters the oil pressure warning light started flashing and the valves started sounding pretty distinct. I immediately stopped the car and pushed it back to the garage.

I called VAG and they told me it’s a common problem. Apparently, when it gets really cold the condensation in the crank case freezes which tends to block either the oil breather or even the oil pipes that lead to the head… or something. Anyway, the result is that the oil is prevented from running through the system which isn’t good of course. When I asked the mechanic what I should do he told me to tow the car to the nearest heated garage or wait until the winter is over and the temperature rises above 0.

The nearest heated garage I can use is 15km away from my garage and spring feels pretty ******* far away right now. On my way to work today it was very cold…
