Is this a common fault on the IS??

Any thoughts?

Might not be the same issue, but whenever I search for new stations in my IS, I always have to go round the entire frequency range twice.

First time it picks up nothing, second time it picks up all the stations.

Strange, but true.

Mine doesn't have any problems, but of course it could be area dependent.

Is there a way to measure the strength of the signal coming from the antenna?

It's a powered amplified antenna, could be there's an issue with the signal amp. I think that's why Rabs was asking if it were aftermarket because you have to make sure you retain power to the aerial amp when you change!

Lex200s you have to run a feed to the amplified antenna from behind the head unit or you wont pick up a signal . its a set of wires directly behind the headunit and once i did it i got almost all the stations dependant on area of course

cant remember who gave me details on this will have a look
