Fan Washers Upgrade.
Fan Washers Upgrade.
Just finished doing this quick little upgrade to the washers. Mine already had the triple jet washers, but I wanted the Fan type......Unfortunately they don't come in Strathcaron Blue, so I had to buy a pair and spray them.
Sprayed Strathcaron Blue 8N8:
Slipping the washer out:

Really nice job as always :thumbup1:
Were they hard to spray? Always wanted a set of the fan washers but been put off by the need to spray them.......if I'd known you were doing them might have asked to do an extra set as mine's strath blue as well (with reimbursement of course )
Nice one :thumbup1: Do the fanb ones make a type of mist onto the windscreen, makes for better washing of the screen as it does that on the BMW's I drive at work!!

Good job there matey.
wanted to do this myself, just never got round to it
2tongues A finer mist of spray, and if you believe VW advertising uses less water also.

You know what only just touched the washer button to make sure they worked......because the car has just been cleaned and I didn't want water everywhere. So as far as I can tell, just by a very very split second short squirt, it gives more of a curtain spray than a mist..............BUT as I say, I've not tried them fully with like a 3 second blast yet, have to wait until the car is dirty again.......lol
Parthiban, no probs spraying them, I had a tin of 8N8 made up when I did the reverse sensors. I bought the dark blue ones thinking I might get away with not having to spray them but they were way too dark for me. Just rubbed them down with fine wet & dry, masked them around the edges and obviously the front jet/hole part, had to do that twice because I mucked them up the first time using an old tin of laquer which "blobbed" on me. Bought a fresh tin and all was fine.......easy to do mate honest. If you buy a pair I'll spray them for you no sweat.
Thanks for your comments guys, always appriciated.:thumbup1:
