Removing film from plastic headlights
My headlights have what appears to be a mucky film over them.
It's more of an age related film if you get what I mean???
Is there anyway I could polish these without burning the lens???
What would be the best product to use???
Any tips or advice greatly appreciated.
brasso and G3 are really good and make your lights look like new..
Unfortunately when you use an abraisive cleaner like metal polish or cutting compound on plastic lights you take the top layer of the plastic off (which is what's gone yellow). So then you have to keep redoing it every few weeks or the effect wears off.
Believe it or not toothpaste works just as well

So is there anyway to slow the yellowing from returning???
What if I were to laquor them???
Patrik did a walk through on reconditioning the IS200 Lights which had pitting etc im sure the same principal should assist in removing the yellow tint......
I'll try that rabs hopefully it will look better as they let the front of the car down
