Ok, cheers. Maybe I just need to take more time over it then. I'll give it another go when I've got more time to spend on it.

Thanks,

When I put the tape along the top edge of the skirts I left it for a day before fitting the skirts to the car

Thanks, I've given it another go tonight, cleaned the side skirts really well, took my time and stuck the tape to the top edge really carefuly and went over it with a little wallpaper seam roller from my toolkit

I'm going to leave it overnight and have another go at fitting tomorrow, if the whether's good.

Well, I fitted the side skirts today and all went well. I think fryup's tip of leaving overnight has worked. Even got the tape to stick to the sill underneath. Happy bunny or what.

Took some photos, I'll post some up another time, not on the puter tonight.

Like this kit alot.

Just out of intrest, How much would I be looking at for all the peices of the kit?

Painting isn't a problem for me, My old man is a painter by trade!

Well I collected my bits over time. I bought my front lip off Shaz for £80, it was new never been fitted. I'm not sure what they cost new. I got my side skirts on eBay for £165 delivered, again they were new never fitted. They cost about £350 new. The last bit, the rear skirt I waited and waited but never managed to get a second hand one so bought new. It cost me around £163 including a 10% discount. I paid £150 to get them sprayed.

So mine totaled around £560 painted or £410 unpainted. Don't tell the misus :blushing:

Not as bad is i first thought.

Have seen fibreglass copies of them but they are a nightmare to fit and to me never look right.

Put a similar style kit on my old Astra, One of the Irmscher kits and in all that cost me £250 for the full kit as I had to buy a new front splitter.

Heres a couple of pics of it
