Demon Thanks Mate.

Will do, was thinking today about having some sort of sound system running throughout the house. Sort of like a central hub and then speakers built into each room. Not sure what exactly?!?!?

Jason

You can go for a Zoned system which will allow you individual volume controls in each room this can have several audio inputs....

depending on the type of ceiling you have going in if its plasterboard i would recommend some in ceiling speakers for which we are a Bose Pro Distributor.....

we often put this system into hotels and leisure complex's

the great thing is this can all be run on normal 1.5m 2core flex again i can provide this in LSF format (low Smoke & Fume) alot of building regs for schools require it so i carry large quantity's in stock.....

the rest of the kit is few days lead time

How big are the rooms total square foot etc

Carpediem, I have a friend of a friend checking for asbestos. Hopefully he will be round today or tomorrow but i may just get someone else in to check. Its holding us up now so i just need someone to take some samples asap and see what they say.

Rabster, Defo interested in something. Not sure what we will go for yet, would be cool having volume controls in each room. Ceiling is getting redone so will be double plasterboarded so like you say might go for ceiling mounted speakers. Is the quality of these any good?

Im replastering the whole house so now is the time to start thinking about this as i can get all the wiring etc in before we plaster and as its only a bungalow then there is plenty of room in the loft for all the gubbins. We are not planning on ever extending into the loft as its not worth it with the space we have.

i think we may need to have a chat then mate im sure we can get you something very good

the audio quality is very good from the Bose systems but again it does depend on how much you want to spend if you get me details of each rooms sizes i can work out a cost

as there is clear access in the loft we can always fit afterwards but it will be the controll points that might need running in advance unless you are plastering the walls and leaving them hollow behind or even insulated behind all internal walls....

Yes defo something i think we need to talk about. We are replastering the whole house and like you say the main thing is to get the wires for the control points put in before its plastered.

We will not be extending into the loft so there is lots of room for speakers and the sorts in the loft space. The rooms are not huge anyway so would probably not need anything too over the top Big Grin although i do like gadgets Big Grin

I will PM you tonight with the room dimmensions Big Grin

I have a Mini Bose CD Loader system it does have a great sound for my living room but to be honest I would of bought a more up market Bose system if I was going down that road again...

Demon What Rabs is saying would be good if the funds are there...:thumbup1:

Well thats what it all comes down to is the funds! and to be honest i have NO FUNDS!!!!! We put every penny into just buying the house and now we are just buying things each month as we earn the money. To be honest me and sarah earn very little but i don't want to skimp on the house.
What im thinking is that this might be something we look at later down the line. However its worth me doing the groundwork now and getting the wiring and locations for things sorted now as it will all be laid behind the plaster. Worse case scenario i will get all the wiring in and buy the equipment as and when i can afford it.
