Between the ipad 1 and 2 there isn't really that much of a difference, it's a bit thinner but even the dual core processor doesn't matter that much in normal use. If you want to use it for movies, you might need the 64gb, if the storage isn't too important, ipad 2 every time

I'm going to go against my normal grain here in the general discussion and say that having tried them all out, the iPad2 blows away the opposition, it's just so much better (complete opposite to how it is with the phones). Only one I haven't tried though is the new galaxy tab 10.1 which is apparently the first one that can truly challenge the iPad.
