Its quite common for the OEM dumo valves to fail but people dont notice that much until they put it on the dyno
The OEM Dump Valves fail much past 1.7bar - my standard one did so I had to get a Forge one.
Mixed news today!
Got a call from TRL.
- Engine is IN
(after being at the machine shop since 26th May!)But...
My 3" turbo elbow which I had bought two years ago appears to not be 3" so is undersized.
(Robbing gets....!!! )TRL have said either I find one or they can get me a Turbo Technics one but it will take 2 days. Think I will leave it to them to get.
Its a minior hiccup but at least the beast is getting closer!!! :Shooting:

It has moved 0.2 Miles so far to check the gears select ok with the new clutch! lol Car should be ready in two weeks but it is really pushing it to take it to the Ring when it is untested and expecially as it might have teething problems.
Need to get some pics up of the car.
Went to check on the car yesterday and great progress has been made . New Engine is in and the car is a runner!! Engine bay looks like its out a magazine and its not really my car! lol
It has moved 0.2 Miles so far to check the gears select ok with the new clutch! lol Car should be ready in two weeks but it is really pushing it to take it to the Ring when it is untested and expecially as it might have teething problems.
Need to get some pics up of the car.
maybe worth doing the ring trip but not taking it on the circuit just use it as a running in for the new engine

3" Milltek Cat back exhaust system (quietest 3” system you can get but howels on boost!)
:laugh::laugh: quietest 3" system!!!! I went with Anees to TRL when he dropped his Evo of for its "Surgery" I could hear him coming from behind me, at least 300 feet away!!
That beast roars like a T-Rex!! And yes it is very quick, looking forward to a ride in it! :drool:

Trust me once you hear Purplewitches n/a Supra you know what LOUD is all about.

Engine is being run in but Matt@TRL noticed slight valve float at the top-end when he started to introduce some boost so they are taking the cam over off again and fitting shims to get the valve spring tension spot on. I already have stronger valve springs and valves but because the head is ported and polished it is producing more tension on the valve springs then normal.
Overall however Matt said the car was "Sweet as a nut" and hopefully final mapping will be started next week.
I also dropped off a polished bit I bought which I must admit I didn't really need but looks nice in the engine bay.
Car I have to say is looking very nice and the engine bay really is like something out of a magazine! :lol: Can't believe it is my car!!!
