OJC Number Plates (not show plates)
OJC Number Plates (not show plates)
I was thinking of replacing my number plates, one especially has got water under the laminate, or something, and is just starting to look old and tired. This plate actually has some other club, which I have never heard of, "www.lexusownersclub.co.uk" written across the bottom, in small lettering, below the registration itself.
I wandered if it was possible to get similar with "www.outlawjapclub.co.uk"? Although with recent changes to the law regarding these things, that may not be possible. I think they may have the name of the (registered) garage or shop that made it and it's postcode on now?
I have a place I usually get plates (only about £15 a pair at trade too!) but I would prefer to be repping OJC than LOC (as it is currently) or "ALS Motor Spares" (as on my other cars).
I posted up a thread on the best place to get them made up .
You are an outlaw now , so its good to bend the laws a bit now and again .
Just order a set of show plates with your registration on them and whatever you like in the lower border...
Ok Moley, I'll have to have a look for that.
I figured that was one way Dave, but didn't know if anyone had done them before, and those places will only use standard fonts, I expect. Plus would that be legal or not?
My front plate is a 'show plate' the actual font is the legally required one. However its slightly shorter than the standard one, and I asked for there to be virtually no border around it.
Been past numerous police and ANPR vehicles, even got stopped for a 'random' breath test a while ago and they didn't bat an eyelid.
EDIT: And I have nothing at all at the bottom of mine, which is probably even more noticeable than having a website in place of a company name and postcode as it should be.

Ormi and Stav both have 5 characters, Stav has a space between his first and second character.
Ormi has no spaces I think?
