Stoney Haha. Never even made it into my car either! Well I bet the price dropped every time it changed hands too, so you did well out of that one. Not that you ever seem to have a problem with getting parts cheap, you appear to have an uncanny ability source rare and desirable performance parts in exchange for magic beans... or something!

LOL i just spend a lot of time browsing websites and waiting till one arrives at the right price

Spent some time tonight doing a couple of little jobs.

Firstly i fitted some 9mm spacers to the rear of the car, just to move the rear wheels out a bit to match the fronts a little.

then i fitted the TRD braces, very nice and lighter than the Japsai ones.
Also for Ormi i measured them and the Japsai ones drop 40mm ish and the TRD ones 18mm so quite a saving!

Well been doing a bit of work lately on the car. Trying to get thing prepared for JAE so shes all spic and span and nice and presentable.

First was a simple oil and filter change.

then the next job was slightly functional as well. Moving the battery to the boot and installing an emergency one.
Basically one in the boot running things and then a small battery in the engine bay that is attached to the starter motor only (plus a charging circuit obviously). Theory being you can never be stranded as if the main battery drains for some reason you still have enough umph to start the car from the dedicated one.

and this is the battery in the boot:

So basically got rid of the spare, got myself some tyre weld and set about sorting the boot out.

First install a few bits:

then tidied it up a bit:

and started building a frame for the base to sit on:

Added a couple more bits (Digital TV, and a remote bottle opener)

then built the floor,

with a small flap to open/close the bottle valve, refill the bottle, and a handle to take it all out as well. (was still drying when i took the pic)

Next step is remove the incar DVD player as i just cant decide somewhere i'd be happy with it being fitted, and the PS2 can play DVD's anyway (it'll be up for sale soon if anyones interested).
Also going to put the PS2 on a slider so that it slides across the rear firewall so the ski hatch is free, but you slide the PS2 out to get to it.

Then hopefully finish the new headlights before JAE as well. tidy up another few panels as well.

Just to create a little space in the engine bay, but more because i was sick of all the stuff i have on the car making batterys struggle in the winter, this should prevent it, also tidys up my boot nicely.
Also the spare was useless anyway as its an inch smaller then the wheels that are on and i dont have any lexus shouldered nuts to fit them so i couldnt really put it on anyway.

Its not nitrous, its CO2, sprays it on the intercooler to cool the intake temps.

had the intercooler bar on for ages but finally got it working now lol, button on the wheel for spraying, another switch under the armrest for opening/closing the bottle. Pressure sensor tapped on the line for telling line pressure, and a cut of manual valve next to my seat.

Fast and Furious eat your heart out eh? Wink

I just saw the NOS branding on the valve thingy and wrongly assumed it was nitrous.

Should get a picture of your nuts on here too...
