I keep getting a rubbing noise from my rear right wheel every time I turn left (under load).
I've taken the wheel off and had the disc off and the springs on the shoes had come off so I sorted that but I've still got the noise when I turn
Has anyone one got an idea what it could its doing my head in it sounds horriable when I'm out in the car
I had a similar noise on full lock turns, was the backing plate rubbing - ormi shoved it back off the brake discs a bit and no more noise...
Could be as simple as that?
Thanks Dave I hope it is as simple as that I have been thinking that but thought it can't be lol.
Its so annoying I just want it go
Fingers crossed that's all it is then bud
it will be the backing plate jus not the one you see...remove the rear disk and you will see a groove on the inside of the disk now if you look theirs a lip attatched to the backing plate that runs inside the groove you'll find its that thats rubbing....just look fo the polished part on the lip that will show you were its rubbing....the fix hit it with a hammer.....sorry i mean adjust it lol
I think I may have the same problem! Is it causing any damage to drive it like that? I spose pics would not be something you had to hand? Brakes is one thing I have never played with much.
i think i know which part ur talking about.
Stoney if the rain stops ill get out there and have a go on mine and try to grab some pics as i go
