Right been busy the last couple of days working away.

Set myself a couple of lists for the 2 days and cracked on.

One of the jobs was i finished my 2 new headlights:

The drivers side, with the air duct in straight to the induction kit.

I think it came out fairly well, couple of marks that i would have liked to have not left but it looks good overall. Sprayed the inside of the intake black again to finish it off. Also i sprayed the outside of the tube with chrome paint before i fitted it to fit in better with the headlight.

Also the passenger side one:

Basically im fitting a Mk6 fiesta HID kit to the car, as that has dipped and main in the same bulb (the bulb moves on a little motor).
So i would have had a spare hole with nothing to do. So ive installed my camera there as the one in the front bumper kept breaking due to the weather. Hopefully it'll be fine with the heat off the HID kit, i reckon it should be.

Just need the new bulb to arrive (lent one to my mate) and i can fit these.

Also cleaned the engine bay best i could, hence my comments in the Show and shine thread. And sorted out a few switches in the car so they were neat and tidier.

one other thing i did that ive put off for a while was to sit down and work out how my ECU is wired, by sitting and basically recording all the connections in the ECU box. Nothing exciting, just want to know how it works. Always help for the future lol.

Not finished the list but i messed up the keyless entry whilst wiring other bits so had to sort that out. Not a lot to do though, just refit the playstation better, and sort out the earthing for the new battery in the boot, as i think it can be better.

I really want to keep 18's though. Sad

May have to try some 19's on and see what it looks like.

Right well did a few more jobs the last 2 days.

Fitted the healights:

Look good i think, also wired up the Fiesta HID's. work like a dream, and the camera gets good vision from the headlight. Just need to wire the Mic up for the tunnel run.

Ive also has an alternator whine for the past couple of weeks since moving the battery. so tackled that today. First i moved a few cables further away from the battery wire and moved that within the wheel well so it was near nothing else.
It didnt have the desired effect though Sad. so next move was to make the amp earth cable as short as possible. this did work! so now i dont have the irritating whine in the car thankfully.

Also had a cheeky trick with the numberplate. Because obviously that area is curved and the plates straight. I tied a ratchet strap around it so it flexed a little then heated it with a heatgun. Worked perfectly! over bent it slightly so that now its stuck its a lot better than before.

few more bits and bobs to do in the week, then a good clean next weekend ready for JAE the week after! woop woop.

at least im not rebuilding the engine in a rush like last year!
