Simple question, as per title. What is the green wire coming out of my window switch unit? As I removed it from the car, I assumed it to be for the auto folding mirror kit, but now I get it the light and look at it, the wire goes into the window switch/locking section of the panel, and not the mirror adjuster unit at all! The hidden end is just a spade connector, when connected it disappears into the door panel and then off the car!

Answers on a postcard please.
(Or just on this thread.)

Hurricane Total closure trigger?

I know it's not standard, as I have a stock one here too! The hole has been drilled and the unit resealed, so I don't want to open it to see where it's wired into.

It was fitted to the car before, but I don't know what it was doing!

Possibly to do with a total closure system, though I don't have one fitted, not one that works anyway!

Good shout.

I might go and test the windows with it disconnected, and then test them with the stock spare I have here.

Might do it now actually! Smile

You are wrong on this occasion Ormi, but good shout all the same. Operation of all four windows, as well as window lock, and central locking switch is all normal, with the mystery cable connected and disconnected.

I had to put all four window switches back in to test that! Plus I fitted blue LED interior lights earlier, they look cool, but don't give out much light to see by, ended up using my phone torch! Might have to rethink that idea in the long run!

Maybe part of an anti jack? Locks all the doors when an old unit triggers it?

Have you tried earthing it see if anything happens.

If it's in your car it's probably to do with mirror closure?

Hmm no scratch that, wrong place
