Well all the modding finally caught up with me as I'm currently broken down on the m25!

Car started loosing power and pressing down on accelerator further was having a negative effect.

Pulled over, stopped car and then restarted. Idle is really lumpy and smoke coming from left rear of engine (maybe headers)?

No cel's to give me any clues!!

Helpful!

What colour's the smoke? Obvious things to check for, is your vacuum system intact (no blown boost hoses or anything) and MAP/MAF sensor(s) still all OK?

White smoke, although since then the rac guy started the car and ther's no smoke seems to have stopped.

Car is also idling ok-ish from what I can hear at side of motorway, however when I give it some gas the power just disappears and I can feel an almost grinding through the pedal.

I'm thinking either:

Pre cats melted and blocking header - but I'd expect a cel?

Engine toasted? Pistons, ringlands.. - but I'd expect a bit more drama and a cel

Transmission dead - doesn't explain smoke but could be reason for no cel, no power & grinding.

They all sound serious and after all that work, you must be gutted right now... hope it turns out to be something small to repair and you're back on the road soon
