steviewevie Looks good SHAHZ. What state was that water in though ? hock:
Resetting the ECU John, you only need to leave the fuses out for a few seconds really, 30 seconds is recommended. So 5 minutes will be more than enough and it will definitely have reset if you took out the right fuses (ECTS and EFI).
steviewevie The K&N cleaning kit (cleaning solution plus oil) is around a tenner. Opie Oils have it here, or you will find it on eBay (search for "K&N cleaning").

Can you get a cleaning kit for a Toms Ram air filter ? Have looked everywhere and can't seem to find one.
Don't even know if you CAN clean them ?
I didn't think the TOM's filters were ones you could clean. Though I could be wrong.
You thought I had what Dean, a TOM's filter or a cleaning kit ? I sold my K&N plus cleaning kit to another member on here. You do need the cleaning kit to give it a proper clean (though you could vacuum it to probably help a bit - but make sure you vacuum from the dirty side).

Car was beginning to cut out again so last weekend pulled the filter out to find it looking like this
Got the cleaning kit out and soon it looked normal again!
Ooooops the heat has made this cover crumble away!!
Major improvement, however still a slightly low idle, after reading Parthibans thread i think i might clean the throttle body!.........got a strange whine when accelerating since refitting it now though?!
hock: that cover is shocking never seen that happen before on a lex, a 20-30 year old car yeah, but not on a relatively new car
im sure i read somewhere it had happened to a someone else.....cant remember who though, i literally just touched it and it fell to pieces ..........you think it would be a little more resistant to the heat!
I wouldn't have thought that's down to heat personally, I'd be more inclined to think it just came out of a bad batch of plastic.
