Sparkystav Sounds like an earth fault, did you connect everything correctly and didnt trap any cables?
they do look like new when you refurb them
Mmmmmm not whine as in through the stereo.... doesnt sound electrical.....more of a air suction whine when accelerating.......will try and get an audio uploaded, its quite load on cold start....might have to double check that the airbox is closed properly and the filter for damage

Nope! Gearbox oil filter, it was well and trully covered in shite!!

Yeap mine is a 2000 too....i literally just touched it and it crumbled!
