I'm one of those rare sales assistants that listens to what customers want/need and offers products to suit their requirements, as opposed to one of those who blags people to sign for a handful off stuff they have no use for (altho when people come in and insist on signing for stuff they don't want/need, I don't stand in their way, thats their choice)
I'm a welder for a fabrication company in Aberdeen .
All our work is for the oil industry and my job takes me all over the world. I've been to Trinidad , Brazil , Italy , Nigeria , Denmark , Holland , Norway , Cameroon , Singapore , Cape Town oh and the North Sea to name just a few . Longest I've been away for at one time is 54 days working 12 hours a day 7 days a week . and I get some time off once I come home from a job . So all in all I'm happy
To add to the 'IT Crowd' ... I design and create all the fancy 'buttons and graphics for the back end devs to use lol.
I'm a front end web developer/graphic designer/SEO/Branding/Marketing/etc person. I basically design and build everything you can see on a website, though having to get more into the database and heavy jquery jigerypokery lately. Ive created artwork for cars, buildings, adverts, billboards and allsorts.
Unfortunately unemployed at the moment after getting fed up of working for an insurance broker and making them millions to be treated like ****. Just finished a 2 week contract doing a website for the BBC. Hoping to hear that I am the new web marketing coordinator for Wilkinsons tomorrow. It's 15 minutes drive on wikid roads with no traffic even at rush hour... fingers crossed.

Senior Telecommunications Engineer for an Arabic family. I manage a small department taking care of the telecoms needs for the family whilst in Europe. Work varies and ranges from something as simple as providing a simple fax line somewhere, to designing, building and maintaining a cable TV network and up-linking horse racing coverage around the world for the boss wherever he may be at any given moment, or designing AV systems for the family homes. Pays ok, but always on call, and travel a lot through the year especially in the flat racing season and that is a downside.
