If you can't make your mind up between carbon or not carbon you can go halfway...

No, it's not. The paint is though but you'd know that  It does illustrate Ian's point about badly fitting bonnets though. I'm not actually a fan of the half painted/half carbon look of the yellow car, but it is an option I'd never thought of before I saw it.

I like it, but I personally think the headlight covers need to be black to smooth out the edge of the colour. Just my opinion though Smile

Shaun TDI It's a nice touch and compliments the rest of the cars styling.
Do the recesses act as external vents to the coolant rad or are they for show?

they are vented shaun.. like this..

toxo I like it. I looked into one for mine but carbon didn't look too good on blue. Carbon on white is classic though. I wouldn't do the headlight covers if I were you, there are a lot of poorly fitting kits for that and you won't get the weave the same as in the bonnet.

Border Racing (the original designers of the bumper and bonnet) also have a radiator relocation kit which angles the top of the radiator forwards. You can then remove the cooling panel inside the car and it will allow the airflow through the bonnet vents to increase front downforce. MR2s have quite light front ends as normally all the air going through the radiator is forced downwards quite sharply, this aims to address that.

I would imagine on this one that the vents are closed off? Without the relocation kit and removing the panel they are useless and just function to allow rain water to pour through.

The bonnet is actually vented, as ashown above. But my radiator is actually tilted back not forward, so I thought it already had the Border relocation kit on it and all i needed to do was remove my panel as you said.

i am wondering about the headlight covers myself, I may try a photoshop to see the difference.. and then decide...
